Professional Background of Our Founder
Mike Nadeau possesses a robust expertise encompassing management, finance, analytics, real estate, and logistics. His most recent role as CEO of Shiny Health and Wellness saw notable achievements, including scaling the company from a few stores to a network spanning 45 locations within a three-year tenure. Collaborating closely with his team, he successfully guided the company through its transition to a publicly traded entity on the TSXV. As a seasoned Board Member and Executive, Mike comprehensively grasps the intricacies involved in navigating the challenges of startup ventures and facilitating their growth.
Leadership in the Restaurant Industry
Mike held the position of Senior Vice President of Operations Excellence at Recipe Unlimited Corporation (formerly Cara Operations Limited), overseeing the operational strategies for numerous restaurant chains across Canada, including Swiss Chalet, Montana's, Harvey's, New York Fries, Milestones, and East Side Mario's. Prior to this, he served as Senior Vice President of Operations at TDL Limited (Tim Hortons), where he managed a management team of 150 across two Regional centres and supervised an indirect workforce of over 40,000 individuals. In this capacity, Mike directed operations for 425 franchise groups comprising 1,200 restaurants throughout Eastern Canada. His key responsibilities encompassed driving sales, fostering sustainable business growth, spearheading new development initiatives, and ensuring alignment of the organizational structure with overarching strategic objectives.
Current Roles and Contributions
Presently, Mike assumes the role of Chief Operations Officer at Shiny Bud Cannabis, a rapidly expanding brand in Ontario's retail sector, boasting a network of over 40 locations. Concurrently, he serves as a member of Pallium Canada's Corporate Partnership Advisory Committee, a national non-profit dedicated to enhancing professional and community capacity to enhance the quality and accessibility of palliative care across Canada.
